About Yekaterinburg

Yekaterinburg is the 3rd largest city in Russia after Moscow and Saint Petersburg. It is the capital of the Urals. It was founded in 1723 by an order of Peter the Great as a metallurgical plant. By the 20th century it became one of Russia's largest and most important financial, industrial and cultural centers.
